in one of our two stylish shoreside cottages – Escape or the newly converted Mission House – and the whole island is yours to explore. Rent a single cottage for a romantic hideaway for two or both houses to enjoy with family and friends.
Powered by clean green turbine electricity: the cottages have all the modern comforts of the mainland & more: wood burning stoves & central heating make a warm & comfortable retreat after a day’s exploring.
In fact everything you need for your holiday is here: just bring your food & drink for the stay or try some of the ever expanding list of island produce available. We’re passionate about our island produced food from seafood to venison – ingredients that will delight foodies & local food enthusiasts alike. If fishing is your thing, catch your own sustainable supper of mackerel or pollack along with mussels collected from the shore, or catch lobster and crab in the creels provided.

Escape
right at the end of the track, in a secluded location – and hence very popular with honeymoon couples, ‘Escape‘ – the former Rona Manse – overlooks the tidal bay of Dry Harbour (Acarseid Thioram) from an elevated site with fantastic west facing views across the Sound of Raasay towards Skye and the pinnacle, ‘The Old Man of Storr’. Beyond the enclosed garden, the Rona red deer come to graze on the grassy slope to the shore in the early morning and late evening. The views and sunsets are breathtaking from this elevation. |
